Preview: Coldplay – Charlie Brown (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

British DJ Stuart Price is known under more aliases than the most people care to keep track of, but the majority of connoisseurs know him as Jacques Lu Cont. The talented producer has remixed for the likes of the Killers and Madonna in the past, but it is a rejected Colplay rework of Charlie Brown, that has become the topic of much discussion in recent weeks. While Chris Martin and his posse may not have liked Stuart's remix, all it took was one recent play from Pete Tong and a JLC Essential Mix, and suddenly throngs of fans are petitioning to have it released. Will we finally be able to get our hands on the full version of this track? I sure hope so, because it's absolutely massive.

Foo Fighters – Best Of You (Vee Brondi, Marco Hanna & Marcelo Sa Remix)

I cannot begin to describe my obsession with this unqique Foo Fighters remix, and another recent find from Tiesto's Club Life podcast. This rework by three unknown producers is far from new, but leave it to Tij to discover a diamond in the rough.

Marina & The Diamonds - Power & Control (Michael Woods Remix)

Michael Woods works his progressive magic on indie group Marina and The Diamonds, ad the outcome is a perfect hybric. The soft chord progressions and uplifting synths add that extra Je ne sais quois to Marina's unique vocals.

Paris & Simo - Nova (Original Mix)

Fellow Montrealers are the latest duo to break out of my hometown and make a name for themselves on a global level. Tiesto can partly be held responsible for giving Sultan and Ned Shepard their big break, but it this time it is Hardwell's Revealed label that is backing some major Canadian talent. This big room anthem made its debut at EDC in Las Vegas when Paris & Simo made their first US appearance and has hit Beatport just in time for the second half of this summer's festival season.
